Four Pakistan Players Granted NOCs for CPL 2024
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has granted No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to four Pakistani cricketers, allowing them to participate in the upcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 Ā¹.
Players Granted NOCs:
- Fakhar Zaman: Explosive opener, will join the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.
- Azam Khan: Wicketkeeper-batter, will represent the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
- Mohammad Amir: Fast bowler, will play for the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.
- Imad Wasim: All-rounder, will also play for the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.
Reason for Granting NOCs:
The PCB has allowed these players to participate in the CPL, considering their fitness and workload management. However, Saim Ayub was denied an NOC due to his involvement in Pakistan’s Test series against Bangladesh Ā¹.
PCB’s Policy:
The PCB permits players to participate in two franchise cricket leagues alongside the Pakistan Super League (PSL). This move aims to balance players’ international commitments with their participation in global T20 leagues Ā².
CPL 2024:
The Caribbean Premier League 2024 is scheduled to begin on August 30, 2024. The participation of these Pakistani players is expected to enhance the league’s competitiveness and entertainment value.
