Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi recently met with the newly appointed white-ball captain, Mohammad Rizwan, and vice-captain, Salman Ali Agha, ahead of the Australia tour. During the meeting, Naqvi wished the duo good luck and expressed his confidence in the team’s ability to deliver outstanding performances Ā¹.
Rizwan, who was appointed white-ball captain on October 27, 2024, will lead the team in the opening ODI against Australia in Melbourne on November 4 Ā². Salman Ali Agha will serve as vice-captain and lead the T20I side in Zimbabwe as Rizwan is rested under workload management Ā².
Naqvi emphasized the importance of teamwork, stating that playing as a united team and fighting till the last ball are keys to success Ā¹. Rizwan and Agha expressed their gratitude to Naqvi for his trust in them and assured that they will make every effort to meet the nation’s expectations Ā¹.
The Pakistan team is set to play three ODIs and three T20Is against Australia, with seven players already arriving in Melbourne Ā¹. The rest of the team, including Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, and other squad members, will depart for Australia tonight Ā¹.
