Bangladesh has announced a strong squad for their upcoming ODI series against Afghanistan, scheduled to take place in Sharjah, UAE, from November 6 to 11, 2024 ¹ ². However, veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan won’t be part of the team. According to BCB President Faruque Ahmed, Shakib feels he’s not ready to take on international cricket at the moment, citing his mental state and lack of practice after missing the last Test against South Africa ².
